I had one gentleman, who will remain nameless, tell me that the Bible was "conveniently translated". Now, I love this person, but I am guessing that he has never studied the history of the Bible (and neither did Dan Brown of "The Da Vinci Code"-- but that's another matter). Most people just parrot what they have been taught or what sounds right to them without researching anything. They accept it as true because it "feels right" or "sounds right," or worse, the act of accepting without thinking and going along with the crowd justifies their lifestyles so they can continue in disobedience to the Lord without any guilt or remorse. But that is just deceiving yourself. However, one fact that history testifies to, is that King James, the king who authorized the translation of the Bible in 1611, was a homosexual. So it wasn't "convenient" to translate those Scriptures concerning God's rejection of homosexuality (Lev. 18:22; 20:13; Rom. 1:27; 1 Tim. 1:9-11; 1 Cor. 6:9-10). They could have incurred the wrath of the king for doing so (been beheaded). But the interpreters of the King James Bible knew they couldn't change God's word to fit the king's lifestyle and justify his lusts. Correction added here: I have since learned that King James was a vicious murderous king that persecuted the true Born Again separatist Christians (who became Puritans). Sounds like the militant homosexuals of today who try to force Christians to accept their sinful lifestyle, mighty intolerant don't you think? Since I have been saved out of major deception (signs & wonders/word-faith/hyper-pentecostalism), I have not trusted ANYONE with my spiritual life that contradicts the Scriptural truths, or promotes a "feel good, thrills & chills" false theology. And yes, I'd rather lead a boring life that assures me of entry into heaven, than a pleasurable one that will assure me of entering hell. But, how do I know the Bible's true? It has been proven to be true over and over again by math, history, prophecy, science, and archaeology. I can't go into too much detail but I will give a brief listing as to why the Bible is true and accurate.
There are 24,000 manuscripts and partial manuscripts that prove we have the same Scriptures and the properly translated ones have not changed what was written over 2000 years ago. However, be warned that there are paraphrased Bibles posing as the true Scriptures such as "The Living Bible" and "The Message" which are very poorly paraphrased, or the "Gender Neutral Bible" and the "Gay Bible". All of which will steer you away from the truth because those are the ones that are "conveniently translated." No one is to add to nor take away from God's word (Deut. 4:2; 12:32; Prov. 30:6). He promises severe punishment on those who do those things. (Rev. 22:18-19). So those cults who place their teachings equal to or above God's word, calling it "new revelation," are adding to the Bible and they will suffer the wrath of God for doing such.
But to continue on, the Dead Sea Scrolls were dated approximately 300 years before the birth of Jesus, and they contained all the books of the Old Testament except the book of Esther. So that rules out any belief that the Bible was written way after the death of Jesus or the Apostles. There are 25,000 archaelogical discoveries proving the accruacy and trustworthiness of the Bible in museums and unversities around the world. The Bible is a compilation of 66 books, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit by about 40 different authors, with different educational and cultural backgrounds. These men were spread out in different geographical locations and lived throughout a period of 1500 years and the Bible was written in three different languages -- Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic. Despite all these factors, the Bible remains internally consistent -- the same God, the same promises, the same Messiah.
The Bible dedicates over 27% of its writings to prophecy. So those false teachers who try to steer you away from Bible prophecy are telling you to throw out over one-fourth of the Bible. Who are they? Mere mortal men whom God will judge severely. Only the Bible has had specific prophesies fulfilled, and they are still being fulfilled, which is what I'm addressing in this article. Jesus fulfilled 300 of the Old Testament prophesies concerning the Messiah. A mathemetician calculated that to fulfill only 8 specific prophecies would be a ratio of 1:1017 power (i.e. I believe that's a 1 with 17 zeros after it, in other words, an impossibility for one person). That proves that Jesus was the promised Messiah, and He is God in person. You cannot be born in a specific city, in a specific family line, at a specific time that was prophesied thousands of years earlier without being God. No one else in history has been able to do that, and I do mean no one.
Finally, the Bible made universal scientific facts known before telescopes were invented. The sun is on a circuit (Ps. 19:6), the shape of the earth is round (Is. 40:22); the suspension of the earth hangs on nothing (Job 26:7) and the stars cannot be numbered (Jer. 33:22). Man could not have discovered these things to write them down until the discovery of telescopes. They did not discover these facts until the invention of more modern and powerful telescopes. The early "scientists" using antiquated telescopes could not have seen the earth from an ariel view nor could they determine it was a shere and not a flat circle; those who did claim it was a sphere were mocked by the scientific community of their day. I don't know the exact time frame the scientific community finally accepted that the stars could not be counted, and the earth was round, but it was a more recent discovery that the sun is on it's own circuit. I was taught that the planets revolved around the sun, but the sun has it's own orbit or circuit. But the Bible was written long before those more "modern" telescopes were invented and thousands of years before they discovered the sun has it's own circuit. Another piece of evidence that proves the Bible is not a more modern writing.
With this brief summary of evidence to support the Bible as true and accurate, and establish the fact that Jesus is God in person and is the promised Messiah of Israel and Savior of the world, we can have confidence that what Jesus said about God's word (the Bible) is trustworthy. Jesus said the word of God was without error (John 17:17); historically reliable (Matt. 12:40; 24:37-39); had divine authority (Matt. 4:4-10); scientifically accurate (Matt. 19:4-5); infallible (John 10:35); indestructible (Matt. 5:18); and He promised that the New Testament would be just as valid (John 14:26; 16:13). But because all these things are true about the Bible, there are deceptive men and women telling you it's been changed, or mistranslated, or is a bunch of stories only to encourage us, and they tell you that you don't need to read it. The very reason they tell you these lies is because they know the Bible can and has disproven their teachings and proven that they are false prophets. Anyone who tells you not to study the Bible, or that you study it too much, is trying to deceive you. Run from them!!! Do not listen to them nor any of their teachings, especially if they exalt their teachings above or equal to the Scriptures. I'm writing this to inform you about these kinds of prophesies coming true, and that the end is not near, it's HERE.
The Scripture says, "But know this, that in the last days perlious times will come. For men will be lovers of themselves (i.e. self-esteem, self-deification, and other selfisms taught by the lies of psychology and Oprah), lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors (eg. Presidents Bush and Obama), headstong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God (i.e. placing their feelings and pleasures above what God's word says to do), having a form of godliness (appears to be a good person or a godly preacher) but denying it's power (denying the cross and narrow path a true believer must take because Jesus is the only way to heaven). And from such people turn away." 2 Tim. 3:1-5. THIS IS HAPPENING NOW FOLKS! False prophets and teachers are all over the TBN and CBN and so-called Christian airwaves. We are in the "great apostasy" or "falling away" that Paul also prophesied would happen before the coming of the Antichrist. "Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day (the day of Christ) will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin (i.e. the Antichrist -- one world leader under a one world order) is revealed, the son of perdition (meaning lawlessness)." 2 Thess. 2:3. Obama is scheduled to sign the one world order treaty once they can agree on the Cap & Trade terms. It was originally scheduled for December 2009, but because of the disagreements an interim treaty was supposed to be signed. But once the official treaty is signed AMERICA WILL BECOME A COMMUNIST COUNTRY. We will lose our sovereignty, and power. Our money will be sent to the third world countries as a bogus payment for using the most C02. However, another myth the government is using is the Global warming hoax. Trees produce more CO2 than we do (look it up yourself or ask any true climate expert). The founders of Green Peace were ousted by their government, but even they will tell you there is no such thing as Global warming. This is a natural trend the earth goes through every couple thousand years or so. There was one during the medieval times and gasoline wasn't even invented then. This hoax is all about the money (lovers of money), and controlling the masses. This isn't a conspiracy theory, it's now a reality. God is bringing judgment upon America for it's sins against Him and for coming against Israel. (Read Zechariah 2:8).
But anyway, Paul continued prophesying in verse 4, "who (meaning the son of perdition) opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God showing himself that he is God." This describes Obama, except the Jewish temple has not been built for him to do this, yet. I'm not saying that Obama is the Antichrist, but he is a perfect example of him. Obama exalts himself up as being more noble than God because he arrogantly dared to call God a murderer, when he himself murders children under the bogus excuse of a woman's right to choose. God commands to choose LIFE not death and He clearly states that He doesn't take pleasure in the death of anyone (Ezekiel 33:11). But God severely punished Israel for sacrificing their children to the foreign gods that they kept "falling away" to and serving. We sacrifice children to the god of convenience and justify murder for "the good of the mother." It's not about the mothers, or they would tell them the truth that abortion causes many medical problems and reduces a woman's chance of conception when she does want to have a baby. Some even lie to the girls telling them their baby looks like a jellyfish, that it's not even human. It's very obvious that human beings can only have other human beings. DNA, which never lies, will tell you the fetus is a living, feeling HUMAN being. It's simple logic.
But why don't people want to believe it? Because they love their pleasure more than they love God. They want to believe a lie, so they can feel justified in murdering a child or whatever sin God clearly states as being a sin (i.e. hate crime, high treason) against Him. We were the ones who sinned, not God; He can't sin nor can He lie. We are to serve and obey Him, not demand that He cater to our whims and feelings. Read my "True Enlightenment" article (on my blog under "No Brainer Theology") and hopefully you will see how deceptive our own feelings are. They lie to us most of the time, especially when they contradict the word of God.
Paul then states, "The mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He (the Holy Spirit) who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one (the Antichrist) will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness" (2 Thess. 2:7-12).
This is a warning to those who think they know the truth, but are searching for it outside the Bible. Any other writings, including my own, need to be verified with the Bible. That's called being a Berean (read Acts 17:11). It's hard work being a Berean, and it's the job of every pastor to be one, but unfortunately, the pastors do not do that anymore. They give the sheep what they say they want, and don't stand up for the truth of God's word. They don't protect the sheep who are Bereans, they kick them out of their churches like the Purpose-Driven churches do.
I don't say these things to be "hateful" but because I do love you all. But what would be more hateful of me: to let you go to hell without warning you, or to warn you at the risk of seeming crazy or being accused of being hateful and judgmental? I choose the latter because that's true love. "God's truth is never hate." Some may whine and ask, "But why can't it be another way?" BECAUSE WE DON'T MAKE THE RULES, GOD DOES. He's God we are not, nor will we ever be. It's simple logic. But for those of you who insist on claiming to be a god, then I must warn you, God says, "The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth (meaning you who claim to be or act like a god) shall perish from the earth and from under these heavens." (Jeremiah 10:11) So, no matter how you delude yourself, the fact of the matter is, YHWH/Jesus is God and will reign forever more, and His words will never pass away because they live forever. But your words and even your memory will pass away and God will still get all of the glory. It's simple logic. Who are you to stand up against a God that can throw the devil out of heaven at lightning speed, with one arm? I was pretty stupid myself at one time, and dared to exalt myself above God, but He showed me who was boss, and it wasn't me. I am and always will be a woman under God's authority and I am happy to be in that position.
