Comparison between Christianity and Islam

This information is from the book So What's the Difference? by Fritz Ridenour. I encourage those seeking more information about cults and other religions to read this book so you may understand why Orthodox Christianity is true and the others are not.

God

One God is revealed in Scripture as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Within the one "essence" of the Godhead there are three persons who are co-equally and co-eternally God (Matthew 3:13-17; 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
God

There is no God but Allah--the God.
Jesus Christ

Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, one with the Father, sinless redeemer of sinful man through His vicarious death on the cross and resurrection from the dead (John 1:13, 14; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Peter 3:18; 1 Corinthians 15:3).
Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ was only a man, a prophet equal to Adam, Noah, Abraham and Moses, all of whom are below Muhammed in importance. Christ did not die for man's sins; in fact Judas, not Jesus, died on the cross.
Sin

Sin is proud, independent rebellion against God in active or passive form (Romans 1:18-23; 3:10, 23).
Sin

Sin is failure to do Allah's will, failure to do one's religious duties as outlined in the "Five Pillars of the Faith."
Salvation

Christ--God's Son--died for our sins (on the cross) according to the inspired Word of God (1 Corithians 15:3, 4).
Salvation

Man earns his own salvation, pays for his own sins.
How to Get to Heaven

Believe and confess the Lord Jesus Christ and that God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved. (Romans 10:9-13).
How to Get to Heaven

One guaranteed way (according to the testimony of Rick Mathes) is to kill infidels (anyone who is not a Muslim). This is taught in the Qu'ran.

Note: The "How to Get to Heaven" section was added by me.
